Sayreville, NJ Site

The Sayreville converter station is located on a parcel of land acquired from the Borough of Sayreville Economic & Redevelopment Agency in Sayreville, New Jersey on River Road.  The Sayreville converter station is adjacent to and connects via approximately 2,500 feet of alternating current (AC) to the existing Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) substation, located at the northern end of the Reliant Energy Generating Station site adjacent to River Road.

The Sayreville converter station allows for LIPA to connect to the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland (PJM) market, one of the most diverse and competitively-priced power markets in the United States.

Neptune has entered into a Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) agreement with the Borough of Sayreville which will provide predictable annual revenues for many years.
